Famous Photographers
For my famous photographer I chose Annie Leibovitz. She was born in Westbury Connecticut on October 2. She went to San Francisco Art Institute and that is where he photography career began. Her type of photography is portraits. She makes sure that the person she is photographing is using bold colors and will usually be doing unique poses. She has been a photographer from 1990 to 2005 but she may still be doing photography today.
Annie’s first job was for Rolling Stones Magazine. She was first just a staff photographer but within a 23 year time period she was promoted to chief photographer which she was for the next ten years. Having this position let her tour with top bands around the world. In 1983 she started working for Vanity Fair Magazine. She did many stunning self-portraits for celebrities. Later on in the 1980’s Annie started to do high-profile advertizing campaigns. For which she earned her a Clio Award. In 1991 she had over 200 black and white pictures displayed at a gallery and soon after published a book. Five years later she was chosen to photograph the Olympics in Atlanta, Georgia. Four years after that she published another Book of Women. Finally, in 2005 the Brooklyn Museum of Art did a retrospect of all of her life work. Annie is now the mother of three children and is very happy.
